Welcome to Athens International Airport (also Eleftherios Venizelos). A Travelous representative awaits your arrival at passenger pick up holding a sign with your name printed on it. Private transfer provided by English speaking driver to your hotel.

Athens

After breakfast, meet with your private certified Travelous tour guide and embark on your panoramic tour of Athens; the capital of Greece and the birthplace of Democracy and Philosophy. Pass by the Constitution Square (Syntagma), the Parliament, Tomb of Unknown Soldier guarded by Evzones in their colorful uniforms, the Academy, the University and the National library. On the way to Acropolis pass by Hadrian's Arch, Temple of Olympian Zeus and stop at Panathenian Stadium, where the first Modern Olympic Games were held in 1896. Continue to Acropolis (Ancient City). and admire the architectural masterpieces of the Golden Age of Athens: the Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Erechtheion and the Parthenon "the harmony between material and spirit", the monument that "puts order in mind". Continue with a private tour of the new Acropolis Museum, a modern architectural building housing the most important statues from Acropolis and admire the wonders of the classical era (Mondays closed). After your City Tour, you will enjoy lunch in Plaka area leaving you the afternoon to explore the Ancient market before returning to your hotel.

Your evening begins with a short panoramic drive through the City Center and up to Mount Lycabettus for a panoramic view of Athens. At the slope of the sacred hill you will be able to see, admire and photo the illuminated Acropolis. Next you will visit the Museum and discover the divine origin of Ancient Greek musical instruments and explore the hidden paradise of Ancient Greek music history and its sounds. Afterwards, enjoy a pleasant walk through the narrow picturesque streets of Plaka - the old city; which will bring you to a Traditional Greek Tavern for dinner. The meal is accompanied with Live music and Greek Folk Dancing in traditional costumes. Return to your hotel for overnight.

Athens

Enjoy your breakfast and depart on the coastal road along the Saronic Gulf to the Corinth Canal, which connects the Aegean Sea with the Ionian Sea.

Today you will visit the Palivos, Nemea and Semeli Estates where you will be taken on a tour of the expansive vineyards. You will have the chance to do some wine-tasting so to experience the exceptional aromas of these renowned wines, made from both international and local grapes. Enjoy an exquisite lunch during your tour and return to Athens for the evening.

Athens - Paros - Parikia

This morning you will have an early transfer in private vehicle to the port of Piraeus, to embark on your cruise to the Greek Islands.

Ferry boat from Athens to Paros. Duration approximately 3 hours.

Welcome to the island of Paros. Your representative will be waiting for you at the port upon disembarkation from the boat holding a sign with your name printed on it. Transfer in private vehicle provided to your hotel.

Paros is one of the most popular islands of Cyclades, located in the heart of the Aegean Sea, with beautiful beaches. The traditional villages, particularly Naoussa, Parikia and Lefkes, are perfect samples of Cycladic architecture, with whitewashed houses, paved streets and blue-domed churches.

In the evening, transfer to a local restaurant for dinner.

Parikia - Paros

Get ready for a half-day island tour of Paros!

First, you will walk through the old town towards the Venetian castle (13th century) and the church of Saint Konstantinos & Eleni, which is situated on the highest point in the town of Parikia. Then, you will walk towards the church of Panagia Ekatontapyliani in Parikia, a unique monument displaying stunning Byzantine art.

After, you will head to Naoussa, the beautiful fishing village with its Cycladic charm. Stroll through the narrow streets and the port with the colorful fishing boats.

Later, you will discover Lefkes, one of the most beautiful villages of Paros, built on the foot of Mount Profitis Helias. The Island"s former capital will amaze you by its traditional style and its panoramic views of the sea. Here you will enjoy lunch at local restaurant.

In the evening, transfer to a local restaurant for dinner.

After a morning at leisure, you will head to the Moraitis Winery, for an unforgettable tour! Located on the stunning beach of Aghioi Anargyroi, the Moraitis Winery boasts traditional ways of vine growing combined with modern techniques of winemaking. The beautiful stone-built home with wooden floors and ceilings are in itself a sight to behold. You tour includes wine tasting, snacks and a visit of the grapevine.

In the evening, transfer to a local restaurant for dinner.

Paros - Santorini - Fira

Transfer in private vehicle from your hotel to the port of Paros for your departure.

In the afternoon, you will be taken on a tour of the traditional villages of Santorini (Pyrgos, Imerovigli, Oia).

In the evening, transfer to a local restaurant for dinner in the town of Oia.

Get ready for an exciting day of exploring Santorini! Transfer from your hotel to the Athinios port, where you will embark on your private day tour on a traditional boat. Accompanied by your certified English speaking guide, your first stop is the Isle of Nea Kameni for the Volcano tour. Here you have the opportunity to climb up to the crater taking approximately 1.5 hours. Next the boat stops at Palaia Kameni where you can enjoy a short swim to the Hot Springs, which are many believe to have healing powers. In the afternoon, its off to Thirassia Island, where you have free time to explore the island, swim and have lunch. Finally, the boat sails along the coast and returnimg to the port of Athinios, where transfer is provided back to your hotel.

Fira - Santorini

Today, you will take a tour of the only wine museum in Greece! The Koutsoyannopoulos Wine Museum occupies a natural cave. It is eight meters below ground, 980 feet long and has a labyrinth-like shape. The Koutsoyannopoulos Wine Museum displays the history of wine and the life of vine-growers in Santorini since the early 1600s. You will have the opportunity to see presentations of the history of wine and to taste four of the best wines that the winery produces today, in a specially designed wine-tasting area.

In the evening, transfer to the village of Pyrgos for dinner at a local restaurant.

Today, you will take a cooking lesson and enjoy lunch in Selene restaurant, rated in 101 Best European Restaurants list in Daily Meals! After this unforgettable event, cooking alongside renowned chefs who use local produce to make absolutely delicious meals, you will taste your creation.

In the evening, transfer in private vehicle to Fira for dinner, the main town in Santorini, located on the top of a cliff and displaying spectacular views.

Transfer in private vehicle from your hotel to the port of Santorini for your departure.

High speed Ferry from Santorini to Crete. Duration approximately 3 hours.

Welcome to the island of Crete and the center of the Mediterranean Sea. Your representative will be waiting for you at the port of Heraklion upon disembarkation from the boat holding a sign with your name printed on it . Transfer in private vehicle provided to your hotel.

In the evening, you will be taken to a traditional village for dinner. Try the world famous "raki," a grape-based pomace brandy and enjoy the liveliest Greek and Cretan dances.

Amoudara - Heraklion - Crete

Visit Knossos Palace, the largest Bronze Age archaeological site on the island of Crete. The palace of Knossos was undoubtedly the ceremonial and political center of the Minoan civilization and culture. It appears to be a maze of workrooms, living spaces, and storerooms close to a central square. The palace was abandoned at the end of the Late Bronze Age, c. 1380-1100 BC.

You will then continue on for a visit to a local winery. Wine will be served as well as Cretan snacks and a delicious traditional lunch.

Conclude your tour with a visit to the picturesque Archanes village.

In the evening, transfer in private vehicle to a local restaurant for dinner.

Amoudara - Crete

Today you will have the opportunity to experience authentic Crete! Visit the village of Axos where you will learn how to make your own "raki. " Sample the raki and learn other traditional recipes before visiting a local loom industry. Here, you will see a demonstration of traditional kilimias and vourgies (large woven bags). Then, learn how Cretans decorate their famous and exceptionally unique wedding bread. Enjoy a delicious lunch and conclude your day with a visit to a kafenio (cafe) where an elderly man entertains crowds with his lyra and fascinating stories about his life.

In the evening, transfer in private vehicle to a local restaurant for dinner.

  • items of a personal nature such as incidentals, excess baggage charges
  • airport taxes/entrance fees, port charges, foreign government departure taxes
  • Visas (unless otherwise indicated), Inspection, Customs, Immigration and Naturalization fees Additional fuel surcharges on cruises
  • Travel Insurance including Medical, Lost Baggage and Trip cancellation
  • Optional activities (golf, watersports, etc.)
  • any other activities or items not explicitly advertised as included in the price of a Tour

 

Reservations/Booking and Deposits:  To book a Tour, each Traveler (or leader of a Group of Travelers) must submit:

 

A.     A completed booking form signed electronically by the main Traveler. By submitting the booking form on the payments page, the traveler accepts our full Terms and Conditions.  

B.     A deposit of 30% of the Tour price (minimum $250 per person), is due immediately upon booking.

C.     The full balance of the trip cost is due ninety days (90) before the trip departure date.

D.      If you book your trip with us ninety days (90 days) or less before the departure date, the full cost of the trip is due at that time.

E.       In the instance payment is made by certified check or wire transfer, reservations will only commence once the check is cleared.

F.       Availability of Services and Accommodations cannot be guaranteed until a Tour is booked.  We will exercise our best efforts to book the Services and Accommodations described in the Tour Itinerary, however, in busy seasons and with client bookings made within 90 days of Tour date, we may be forced to offer substitutes.  In this instance we will notify you as soon as possible and try to substitute comparable Services and Accommodations based on availability.

G.      Ticketing & credit card processing for international transport and other select domestic airfare pertaining to a specific country is done by a 3rd party and not included in your total land package price unless otherwise stated.

H.      Cancellations of confirmed bookings 90 days or more prior to departure will receive full refund minus a $250 (per person) administrative fee and any non-refundable paid fees (e.g. non-refundable airfare, cruise or hotel deposits). 60-89 days will be subject to loss of 30% of program price. 30-59 days will be subject to loss of 50% of program price. 29 days or less will be subject to loss of 100% of program price.
