Here, you will have breathtaking views of the farm villages below with the blue sea beyond. Visit the picturesque beach town of Patara, birthplace of St. Nicholas, also known as Santa Claus. All barriers between the modern world and ancient times will evaporate as you stroll through the town, exploring the historical ruins. Paddle up to the sunken city of Kekova, a protected Lycian-Roman archaeological site and discover the ruins of a 2nd century town that was destroyed during an earthquake. Day 1
Sarigerme

Welcome to Dalaman! Upon arrival, you will be greeted by one of our local Travelous, English-speaking representatives who will be holding a sign with your name printed on it. Your representative will escort you to your hotel in Sarigerme assist you with check-in.

Sarigerme is known for its incredible stretch of golden beach and calm, turquoise waters. You will be brought out to this area and after a short briefing, you will be given the day to explore the colorful sea life that dwells in these warm waters.

The evening is your to enjoy at leisure.

Get ready for a full day of snorkeling and sea kayaking in the beautiful beach resort of Sarigerme! You will be brought out to this area and after a short briefing, you will be given the day to explore the colorful sea life that dwells in these warm waters.

Day 3
Sarigerme

Today, your five-day trekking adventure through the high mountains and deep valleys of southern Turkey begins. After breakfast, you"ll get your packs and equipment ready and start your fun-filled day at Geyik Canyon. You"ll be hiking up the beautiful Geyik Waterfall and canyoning your way down. The challenge of rock and water will send you on an adrenaline rush as you climb, jump and slide along the gorge. Take some time to explore the ten caves, and stroll through the rich forests.

Day 4
Sarigerme

After breakfast, you will start your hike up Baba Mountain. The approximate duration is 5-6 hours. Baba Dagi (6,358 ft) is a mountain peak near the gorgeous beaches of Oludeniz. This mountain, also known as Mount Cragus, was a principal mountain of Lycia, although ancient names are sometimes difficult to match with the features observed today. Based on peakery data, it ranks as the 5th highest mountain in the area. Once you reach the summit, you"ll be rewarded with breathtaking views of surrounding valley, coastline and islands.

Making your way through lush forests and isolated villages, you will climb down to the village of Faralya. This beautiful village is nestled into a mountain plateau, above Butterfly Valley. Here, you will have the chance to see butterflies fluttering their wings and rising up the limestone precipices.

Day 5
Sarigerme

After breakfast, get ready for an incredible adventure off the beaten path and deep into the most remote beach areas.

There are two different options available for the third trekking day. As a group, you will decide together on which is more suitable. The options are to walk to Kabak from Faralya, stay in wooden bungalows close to the sandy beach, enjoy the sun and take a rest or to go past the beach towards Alinca, a small village, which is an approximately one-kilometer climb from Kabak.

Both of these trails will take you through pine forests until you reach vast pastures that give way to immaculate terraced fields. Here, you will have breathtaking views of the farm villages below with the blue sea beyond. At this point, you will choose whether to descend to the beach below or to ascend to the tiny village of Alinca.

 

Day 6
Sarigerme

Today, you will make your way to Gey Village whose official name is Yediburunlar. You will trek on high cliffs overlooking the most spectacular bays until you reach the village of Gey. Spend the evening exploring this village and getting acquainted with the simple ways of life of the villagers.

Day 7
Sarigerme - Patara

Follow the Lycian Way from Gey Village through the most amazing coastal landscape before ascending to Bel. From here, you will hike through dense forests and lush meadows. Make your way down a long, steep slope bringing you to Gavuragili Village. The village is perched just above a stunning golden beach among windswept pines. At the end of the road, a vehicle will be waiting for you to take you to Patara.

Patara is a gorgeous beach town that has deep historical roots. Not only is it the birthplace of St.Nicholas, (more commonly known as Santa Claus), there are many ruins in this town. Make sure to explore the excavated theatre, a ruined temple, and a deep circular pit, which may have been the seat of the oracle, all found on the northern side of a small hill.

Spend the evening exploring the historical ruins of Patara or strolling down a white sandy beach under the glow of a fiery sunset.

Get ready for an adventurous day visiting stunningly beautiful Saklikent Gorge, Turkey"s longest and deepest canyon. You will have the chance to hike through the lush greenery or just relax and watch the world go by from the fig tree-shaded wooden platforms that overlook the river. Weaving your way through the Touros Mountains, you will arrive in Antalya visiting the Duden Waterfalls on route.

Kas

Today, you will have a free day to explore the incredible coastal village of Kas. Antiphellos, as Kas was once known, offers Lycian rock cut tombs as well as sarcophagi and a Roman theatre. The winding cobblestone streets, the lively local shops and a market, give this unspoiled village a real Turkish feel. Spend the day exploring the markets and ruins or grab a kayak and cruise along the beautiful turquoise coast before jumping in to wallow in the warm waters. Enjoy a southwestern Mediterranean meal while watching the sun set beyond this charming fishing village.

Day 10
Kas

After breakfast, you will paddle up to the sunken city of Kekova, a protected Lycian-Roman archaeological site. You will stop in the traditional Turkish village of Simena where you will find various ruins and no cars or roads! Visit the byzantine castle ruins and explore this village that might just bring you back in time. Hike up the hills to catch glimpses of the perfectly clear turquoise sea that gently laps at this village"s shores.

In Kekova, you"ll have the chance to discover the ruins of Dolchiste, a town that was destroyed during an earthquake in the 2nd century. Yet its ruins are perfectly visible in the turquoise sea that once engulfed it. Return to Kas for overnight.

Unfortunately, we say goodbye to you today. After breakfast, transfer in private vehicle with full assistance from your hotel in Kas to Dalaman airport for your flight home. Keep the memories alive and we hope to see you again in Turkey! Stay Travelous!

  • items of a personal nature such as incidentals, excess baggage charges
  • airport taxes/entrance fees, port charges, foreign government departure taxes
  • Visas (unless otherwise indicated), Inspection, Customs, Immigration and Naturalization fees Additional fuel surcharges on cruises
  • Travel Insurance including Medical, Lost Baggage and Trip cancellation
  • Optional activities (golf, watersports, etc.)
  • any other activities or items not explicitly advertised as included in the price of a Tour

 

Reservations/Booking and Deposits:  To book a Tour, each Traveler (or leader of a Group of Travelers) must submit:

 

A.     A completed booking form signed electronically by the main Traveler. By submitting the booking form on the payments page, the traveler accepts our full Terms and Conditions.  

B.     A deposit of 30% of the Tour price (minimum $250 per person), is due immediately upon booking.

C.     The full balance of the trip cost is due ninety days (90) before the trip departure date.

D.      If you book your trip with us ninety days (90 days) or less before the departure date, the full cost of the trip is due at that time.

E.       In the instance payment is made by certified check or wire transfer, reservations will only commence once the check is cleared.

F.       Availability of Services and Accommodations cannot be guaranteed until a Tour is booked.  We will exercise our best efforts to book the Services and Accommodations described in the Tour Itinerary, however, in busy seasons and with client bookings made within 90 days of Tour date, we may be forced to offer substitutes.  In this instance we will notify you as soon as possible and try to substitute comparable Services and Accommodations based on availability.

G.      Ticketing & credit card processing for international transport and other select domestic airfare pertaining to a specific country is done by a 3rd party and not included in your total land package price unless otherwise stated.

H.      Cancellations of confirmed bookings 90 days or more prior to departure will receive full refund minus a $250 (per person) administrative fee and any non-refundable paid fees (e.g. non-refundable airfare, cruise or hotel deposits). 60-89 days will be subject to loss of 30% of program price. 30-59 days will be subject to loss of 50% of program price. 29 days or less will be subject to loss of 100% of program price.
