Welcome to Delhi! Upon arrival at the airport, you will be greeted by one of our local Travelous, English-speaking representatives who will be holding a sign with your name printed on it. At your hotel, you will receive the traditional Indian welcome with your own garland of flowers and a red tika, placed on your forehead as a traditional sign of respect.

Delhi, India's capital and political hub is an ancient city that has something for everyone! Settled seven times over the centuries, this city has grown in a way that reflects its past, while retaining its cosmopolitan flavor. Delhi showcases unique architecture, profound religion, colorful shopping, vibrant culture; everything is available here and waiting to be discovered!

Enjoy a full day tour of Delhi, starting with a drive past the India Gate (World War I Memorial), The Presidential Palace, Parliament House and the Secretariat buildings - an interesting blend of Victorian and 20th century architecture. Head to old Jama Masjid, - the largest mosque in India and wonder at the magnificent Red Fort (Closed on Monday) - a marvel in red sandstone, built on the banks of River Yamuna by a Mughal Emperor.

Then, enjoy a ride on a pedicab while exploring the streets in the moonlight square, popularly known as "Chandni Chowk". Chandni Chowk offers a colorful insight into Delhi"s life and has a large number of lanes each of which is different, with its own atmosphere. The two main areas you will visit in Chandini Chowk are: "Khari Baoli," the largest wholesale spice market of Asia where you will have a unique experience here viewing the loading and unloading process; ""Kinari Bazaar," is a whole retail market that has tightly packed stalls selling manner of glittering gold and silver trimmings for weddings and festival decorations.

Lunch is planned in Delhi"s famous Olive Bar & Kitchen, a contemporary restaurant offering Mediterranean cuisine. The restaurant is located in the neighborhood of the famous Qutab Minar, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, constructed with red sandstone and marble minaret. Finally, visit the mausoleum of emperor Humayun - a forerunner of the Mughal style of architecture.

Drive back to the hotel through Lutyen"s Delhi, the parliament house and the presidential palace.

Delhi - Dehradun - Ananda

Your private driver and assitant will meet you at hotel and take you to Delhi airport.The Assistant will help you with check in for the local flight within India. Note: Regular baggage allowance on In country flights is 15-20 Kg per person.

From Indira Ghandi International Airport you will board your Flight to Dehradun. Duration is 1 hour.

Upon arrival at Dehradun's Jolly Airport, a local representative will meet you along with a private car and driver and take you on a one-hour drive to the beautiful Ananda Wellness Resort.

After the initial check-in formalities, you will consult with the in-house physicians and nutritionists. Experienced Yoga teachers are trained to listen to your personal objectives and goals during your stay at Ananda. They will then design a bespoke yoga and meditation program for you to assist you in the journey of life for a balanced and a harmonized self.

Rediscover yourself through the ancient discipline of Yoga, which encompasses all aspects of life in order to balance the mind, body and spirit. Ananda Yoga enhances the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual qualities in a simple, effective and practical manner. Ananda believes that each individual is unique. An Individuals needs and requirements are assessed, through a personal consultation with our Ayurveda and wellness consultants. The wellness programs are customized to suit your specific body type in order to effectively achieve your desired goal. This is an intrinsic part of assisting the individual on his/her private journey to understanding the self.

You also get to enjoy various body and beauty treatments which integrate the traditional Indian systems of Ayurveda with the more contemporary Western spa approach. The spa experience strives to achieve the ultimate harmony between the physical and the mental realms of the individual.

One can control the rhythms of pranic energy with Pranayama and achieve healthy body and mind. These techniques rely on breathing through the nostrils. A stressful life-style has a profound effect on our breathing. In Pranayama the attention is on the breath. Various techniques of Pranayama rectify the faulty patterns of breathing. It removes the blockages from the subtle energy channels and enhances the level of vitality and relaxation.

You will spend the day taking part in various activities that are designed to to assist you through your journey of life, balancing your being and assisting you to achieve health and well being.

Yoga Nidra means 'Psychic sleep"; a state of conscious sleep where one is on the borderline between wakefulness and sleep. It is a guided process of relaxation for quieting the agitations of the conscious mind and awakens the awareness and immense healing potential of the subconscious. In Yoga Nidra, the practitioner is on the threshold of the sunconscious plane from where one can release the hidden psychic tensions of consciousness. With the help of your instructors you will learn to relax and unwind your body.

The activities for the day will be as per the program designed with your wellness consultant.

Neti simply means the practice of cleansing the nasal passages with salted lukewarm water. Neti helps to relieve sinus problems, improve eyesight and counters environmental pollutants.

The Ayurvedic consultation explores your physical, mental and emotional health to help you understand your unique energetic constitution or combination .The physician then prepares a sequence of experiences and a program of diet and exercise according to your body type that will help bring more balance, energy and peace to your entire being. The Ayurvedic physician then gives you the tips and take-home information on your lifestyle and dietary changes that will bring balance into your daily life.

The wellness activities are to be done as per the set program by the physician however Ananda offers an array of outdoor adventure activities and thrilling explorations into the Himalayas, Ganges and surrounding National Parks. You can be a part of this adventure too during your stay here.

Dehradun - Delhi

Your tranquil stay at Ananda comes to an end today. Hope you are feeling rejuvinated and relaxed.Transfer in private vehicle with English speaking driver to Dehradun airport for your flight to Delhi.

  • items of a personal nature such as incidentals, excess baggage charges
  • airport taxes/entrance fees, port charges, foreign government departure taxes
  • Visas (unless otherwise indicated), Inspection, Customs, Immigration and Naturalization fees Additional fuel surcharges on cruises
  • Travel Insurance including Medical, Lost Baggage and Trip cancellation
  • Optional activities (golf, watersports, etc.)
  • any other activities or items not explicitly advertised as included in the price of a Tour

 

Reservations/Booking and Deposits:  To book a Tour, each Traveler (or leader of a Group of Travelers) must submit:

 

A.     A completed booking form signed electronically by the main Traveler. By submitting the booking form on the payments page, the traveler accepts our full Terms and Conditions.  

B.     A deposit of 30% of the Tour price (minimum $250 per person), is due immediately upon booking.

C.     The full balance of the trip cost is due ninety days (90) before the trip departure date.

D.      If you book your trip with us ninety days (90 days) or less before the departure date, the full cost of the trip is due at that time.

E.      In the instance payment is made by certified check or wire transfer, reservations will only commence once the check is cleared.

F.      Availability of Services and Accommodations cannot be guaranteed until a Tour is booked.  We will exercise our best efforts to book the Services and Accommodations described in the Tour Itinerary, however, in busy seasons and with client bookings made within 90 days of Tour date, we may be forced to offer substitutes.  In this instance we will notify you as soon as possible and try to substitute comparable Services and Accommodations based on availability.

G.     Ticketing & credit card processing for international transport and other select domestic airfare pertaining to a specific country is done by a 3rd party and not included in your total land package price unless otherwise stated.

H.     Cancellations of confirmed bookings 90 days or more prior to departure will receive full refund minus a $250 (per person) administrative fee and any non-refundable paid fees (e.g. non-refundable airfare, cruise or hotel deposits). 60-89 days will be subject to loss of 30% of program price. 30-59 days will be subject to loss of 50% of program price. 29 days or less will be subject to loss of 100% of program price.

       *NOTE: Certain destinations require a 30% non-refundable deposit at the time of booking and therefore, would supersede our standard cancellation policy prior to 90 days in this instance.
