Departing from the Lodge's private quay sail towards the Corrientes Stream where an unforgettable nature experience will be sen along the floating islands of the Ibera lagoon.
The floating islands are made up of aquatic roots and sediments. Their thickness may vary from few centimeters up to two meters allowing the 150 kg marsh deer to walk easily on them. These islands are able to move from place to place due to the area"s strong winds making the geography of the lagoon constantly in transition, which has given rise to many of its varied legends.
Here the greatest concentration of fauna is to be found: capybaras, marsh deer, neo-tropical river otters, two types of caimans, as well as a large variety (350 species) of aquatic birds.

We will return to the lodge by motorboat or by 4Wd vehicle, although an interesting option is to walk our way back along the 3 kilometers road, to enjoy the peaceful sunset over the Bayley Bridge visiting as well the friendly Colonia Carlos Pellegrini Village.

This is an excellent area for sighting White and Cream-backed Woodpeckers, Strange-tailed Tyrants, Roadside Hawks, Black-collared or Savannah Hawks, the three species of Vultures, Jabirus, Grey-brocket deer, big male Caimans and Capybaras amongst other.
