Costa Rica offers tropical beaches, the grandest adventures, the wonders of nature, and scintillating culture. Located in Central America, Costa Rica is nestled between Nicaragua and Panama, bordered on the east by the Caribbean Sea and the west by the Pacific Ocean. This small country represents only .05 percent of the planet's surface yet shelters almost 5 percent of the existing world's biodiversity. The country also offers world-class eco-tourism and adventure travel such as horseback riding on a secluded beach; hiking through the lush whispering greenery of a rainforest; having an exhilarating experience on a white-water rafting trip, observing the tropical forests from a canopy tour; surfing the blue waves of either coast; experiencing a quiet, close encounter with different species of birds and wildlife; and enjoying the diverse culture and hospitality of the Ticos.

Poas Volcano Lodge

Poas Volcano Lodge is a stunning and unique mountain lodge nestled in rolling pastures, with breathtaking views of Poas Volcano and the northern Caribbean Plains. The eleven ensuite bedrooms, some with balconies and others with their own private garden backing onto the cloud forest, are divided between the main Lodge and the outside Garden Rooms. The Lodge is located on a farm, on the edge of Poas Volcano National Park, with easy access to the delightful local villages and attractions. It is only 45 minutes away from San Jose (Juan Santamaria) Airport, making Poas Volcano Lodge an ideal choice of stay.

This spacious room, with a king sized bed, is located in the main Lodge. It has access to the garden and to its own outdoor seating area.

Lapa Rios Ecolodge

Set in a private nature reserve spread over 1,000 acres of Central America's last remaining lowland tropical rainforest in Costa Rica's wild Osa Peninsula, Lapa Rios is paradise for lovers of wildlife, birding, nature and beaches. Much more than a luxurious eco lodge, Lapa Rios is a model ecotourism project and a sustainable tourism pioneer. The resort has won many awards for social and environmental excellence. Home to monkeys, macaws, pumas, toucans, tree frogs and thousands of other creatures, a trip to Lapa Rios Eco Lodge will be the experience of a lifetime.

The 17 luxurious bungalows are nestled along a ridge in a 1000-acre Rainforest Reserve. The bungalows are open-air with screens that enhance the sounds, sights and smells of the rainforest and ocean.
