Day 2
Abu Dhabi

Today we embark on a full day excursion of Abu Dhabi. Note: As we will be visiting a mosque, you are requested to dress conservatively as per guidelines given at the end of this itinerary.

We start this tour by visiting the Women"s handicraft centre (closed Friday and Saturday). The Women"s Handicraft Centre is a rounded building featuring several huts, where local women artists perform silver thread work and weaving. They also exhibit essential Arabic oils, incenses, local dresses and handmade crafts - for a minimal fee. They also treat ladies to the famous traditional art of henna body painting. (Photography is restricted and visitors are advised to remove their shoes before entering each hut, in conformity with local traditions)

From there, we continue on to the Heritage Village. Situated on a 1600 sq. meter site overlooking the Corniche, near the Breakwater in Abu Dhabi, this heritage village is run by Emirates Heritage Club. Here you can experience the past traditional life in Abu Dhabi, before oil revenues altered the landscape, economically and socially. In addition to Bedouin tents, there are reconstructions of palm (Arish) and other houses, old fishing villages and traditional Souqs.

Next in the sequence is the Sheikh Zayed Mosque - Largest Mosque in the UAE, founded by Late His Highness Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan. The dome layout and floor plan of the mosque was inspired by the Badshahi Mosque and the architecture was inspired by both Mughal and Moorish design. Its archways are quintessentially Moorish and its minarets are classically Arab. End the day with a tour of the Sheikh Zayed learning center.

Located in the capital of the United Arab Emirates, the magnificent Emirates Palace is a national landmark and one of the most impressive hotels and conference venues ever built. Emirates Palace is constructed on 1.3 km of private white sandy beach and surrounded by 85 hectares of beautifully landscaped gardens. Enjoy an international buffet lunch in a truly exceptional setting - a must for any visit to Abu Dhabi.

Day 3
Abu Dhabi

Spend your afternoon with a visit to the Abu Dhabi Falcon Hospital. A unique experience, allowing an insight into the fascinating world of falconry, which is an integral part of Emirati heritage. The visit includes both the Falconry Museum and the Hospital, where you may see live medical work in progress and will also have an up close and personal experience with the majestic falcon. After sightseeing, enjoy your evening at leisure. Return transfer provided to your hotels20\par

Head out into the Arabian Desert and feel the adrenalin as your driver takes you on a roller coaster ride of off-roading and dune bashing before stopping on a high to watch a magical sunset! You will then drive to a Bedouin camp where you will settle in for the evening to the sounds of Arabic music and a display of Arabic tradition. Enjoy the rhythmic music while grabbing drinks from the bar. Ladies might choose to have their hands painted with beautiful designs drawn by henna artists while men try the "sheesha" (hookah), popularly known as the hubbly-bubbly. End the evening with a sumptuous barbeque dinner and a belly dance show performed by an expert dancer. Return to the hotel by 4x4 vehicles after an incredibly memorable evening! (Dinner is buffet with mineral water & soft beverage included. Alcohol can be purchased directly)
