Day 1
Madrid

Welcome to Spain! A Travelous representative will be waiting for you in the passenger area holding a sign with your name on it. Transfer in private vehicle with full assistance to your hotel for overnight.

Your trip begins in Madrid, the capital of Spain. A cosmopolitan city that combines the most modern infrastructures with a legacy of history. The day is yours to explore Madrid at your own pace. Travelous recommends heading to the Sol Metro station for street performances, hot churros dipped in chocolate and shopping.

 

Day 2
Madrid

Today explore Madrid on a guided walking tour through the old quarters, known as Madrid de los Austrias (Habsburg dynasty), where you will visit the impressive Plaza Mayor. Walk down the stairs of Arch of Cuchilleros and the winding streets and alleys around Plaza de la Villa, core of medieval Madrid where you will see the oldest buildings, House and Tower of Lujares, where the French King Francois I was made prisoner by Spanish King Carlos V. Discover the House of Cisneros, of early renaissance style and Casa de la Villa, former City Hall until 2007. Then, visit great neoclassic building of the Cathedral of Almudena, ending your tour in the beautiful Plaza de Oriente, where the Royal Palace is located.

Afterwards, visit the inside of the impressive Royal Palace, former residence of the Spanish Kings. Admire the official Reception rooms, the Museum area, the Royal Chapel, the Throne Room and the private rooms of King Carlos III and Queen Isabel II.

 

Day 3
Madrid

The day is yours to explore Madrid at your own pace. Travelous recommends heading to the Sol Metro station for street performances, hot churros dipped in chocolate and shopping.

This evening you will meet with your private guide, an experienced professional dancer, who will take you to discover the highlights of Flamenco through the streets of classic Madrid, where flamenco has written its greatest pages in the history books. The evening follows several chapters which will delight you, including time for tapas, drinks, laughter and culminating with a complete show at one of the best tablaos Spain has to offer.

Madrid - Barcelona

It is no surprise that emblematic constructions by Catalan architects Antoni Gaudi and Lluis Domenech i Montaner have been declared World Heritage Sites.

Barcelona

Take a journey in time, in the company of your private guide as you explore the historic city centre, finding Roman remains and medieval palaces in the heart of Barcelona"s gothic quarter. Visit the Placa de Sant Jaume, the current seat of regional government, see unique landmarks sites, such as the Placa del Rei, which best exemplifies medieval Catalonia; the Jewish Quarter, El Call; the cathedral, one of the finest examples of Gothic architecture in Barcelona; and the remains of the Roman walls.

The Cathedral of Santa Eulalia, built from the remains of the previous Gothic cathedral it is one of the best examples of Gothic Barcelona. The entrance gives us access to the impressive crypt of Santa Eulalia, from the 14th century.
