Welcome to Buenos Aires! Upon arrival at the airport, you will be greeted by one of our local Travelous, English speaking representatives who will be holding a sign with your name printed on it. Your representative will accompany you to your hotel and assist you with check-in.

In the very heart of San Telmo, this historic restored tenement (known as conventillo) is a classic example of the culture of the old city of Buenos Aires. The premises of La Ventana take a trip to these old times. The interior, which preserves the building in its purest style, creates the ideal setting for a unique experience which includes 32 performers, two tango orchestras, an Argentine folk music group, dancers and singers. Besides, there is a menu consisting of national and international cuisine and an exquisite selection of Argentine wines.

Discover the beauty and wonders of Buenos Aires through the highlights of the city, including Plaza de Mayo with Casa Rosada (Government building) and the Metropolitan Cathedral. This astounding building has an incredible mix of architectural styles with an 18th century nave and dome and a neoclassical facade. The Mausoleum of General San Martin is also found here, guarded by three statues representing Argentina, Peru and Chile. You will also visit the widest avenue in South America, the awe-inspiring 9 de Julio Avenue, followed by a stop at the historic neighborhoods of La Boca and Recoleta.

This excursion brings us to the Argentine countryside where you can enjoy a day on a ranch "estancia" and discover its traditional dance and music. Typical empanadas and Argentine wine will be served at the welcoming party. Later, you will enjoy a delicious Argentine-style barbecue. A folk show with music and dance will take place. Typical "gauchos" will show their horse-riding skills. A horse exhibition and the "sortija" will also form part of the show. Ride a horse or hop on a typical "sulki" to get a real feeling of the way of life. Enjoy the unforgettable experience of getting close to the life in the Pampas and learning about the habits of its people.

Visit the famous Perito Moreno Glacier! The glacier is a 97 square miles ice formation, over the length of 19 miles. The mouth of the glacier is over 3 miles wide and has a height of 100 to 200 feet! This breathtaking beauty is declared a World Natural Heritage site by UNESCO. You will be picked up from your hotel and transferred towards the glacier. About half a mile before reaching the lookout points, you will have the opportunity to follow the path along the Los Tempanos Canal by foot, getting stunning views of the side arm of Lake Argentina. Normally there are icebergs around this area. At the end of the path you reach the lookout points where you will have plenty of time to enjoy this natural wonder. In the late afternoon you will get transferred back to your hotel.

El Calafate

Today you will take a fun 4x4 Land Rover excursion to the incredible Huyliche Hill! The itinerary starts in El Calafate, from where the trucks climb the mountain in order to reach a height of 1.050 meters above sea level. There, you will have the first viewpoint, which will give you an excellent panoramic view of Lake Argentino and the village. The following stage is "Laberinto de Piedras" (Stones Labyrinth), which is approx. 85-thousand-year-old. From there, the trucks continue towards "La Piedra de los Sombreros. After that, the vehicles set off to El Calafate, descending across the mount"s north face, from where you will enjoy an imposing view of Lake Argentino.

  • items of a personal nature such as incidentals, excess baggage charges
  • airport taxes/entrance fees, port charges, foreign government departure taxes
  • Visas (unless otherwise indicated), Inspection, Customs, Immigration and Naturalization fees Additional fuel surcharges on cruises
  • Travel Insurance including Medical, Lost Baggage and Trip cancellation
  • Optional activities (golf, watersports, etc.)
  • any other activities or items not explicitly advertised as included in the price of a Tour

 

Reservations/Booking and Deposits:  To book a Tour, each Traveler (or leader of a Group of Travelers) must submit:

 

A.     A completed booking form signed electronically by the main Traveler. By submitting the booking form on the payments page, the traveler accepts our full Terms and Conditions.  

B.     A deposit of 30% of the Tour price (minimum $250 per person), is due immediately upon booking.

C.     The full balance of the trip cost is due ninety days (90) before the trip departure date.

D.      If you book your trip with us ninety days (90 days) or less before the departure date, the full cost of the trip is due at that time.

E.       In the instance payment is made by certified check or wire transfer, reservations will only commence once the check is cleared.

F.       Availability of Services and Accommodations cannot be guaranteed until a Tour is booked.  We will exercise our best efforts to book the Services and Accommodations described in the Tour Itinerary, however, in busy seasons and with client bookings made within 90 days of Tour date, we may be forced to offer substitutes.  In this instance we will notify you as soon as possible and try to substitute comparable Services and Accommodations based on availability.

G.      Ticketing & credit card processing for international transport and other select domestic airfare pertaining to a specific country is done by a 3rd party and not included in your total land package price unless otherwise stated.

H.       Cancellations of confirmed bookings 90 days or more prior to departure will receive full refund minus a $250 (per person) administrative fee and any non-refundable paid fees (e.g. non-refundable airfare, permits, cruise or hotel deposits). 60-89 days will be subject to loss of 30% of program price minus a $250 (per person) administrative fee and any non-refundable paid fees (e.g. non-refundable airfare, permits, cruise or hotel deposits). 30-59 days will be subject to loss of 50% of program price. 29 days or less will be subject to loss of 100% of program price.
