Paro

Unfortunately, we have to say goodbye today.Transfer in private vehicle with full assistance from your hotel to the Airport. Keep the memories alive and we hope to see you again in Bhutan! Stay Travelous!

A majestic kingdom where time seems to bear no meaning; a land where gentle rolling hills and vast terraced rice fields rise to meet the feet of dazzling Himalayan peaks. This is a place where tranquil Buddhist monasteries are perched on sheer cliffs and whispers of ancient traditions resound on even the most busy city streets. Bhutan is a trekker"s paradise, a nature lover"s playground and a rare jewel for travelers seeking to find a rich culture and a truly humbling people. Bhutan: happiness is a place.

Taj Tashi

Set in the heart of the Thimphu Valley, the Taj Tashi, is a gateway to a land steeped in mythology and magic. The mountain kingdom of Bhutan remains one of the old world"s last few strongholds, as yet unspoilt by civilization. In the charmed isolation of the Himalayan heights, Bhutan's ancient and alluring ways of Mahayana Buddhism continue richly intact to this day, and permeate every aspect of Bhutanese life and art.

Select deluxe rooms have private sit-outs that open out to the green mountains -marvelous nooks that demand perfection by way of a steaming cup of tea or a romantically laid out dinner for two. The finely fitted bathrooms are roomy, and have amenities like floor warmers and bath-towel heaters.

Uma Como Punakha

Providing luxury accommodation in this less-visited area of Bhutan, a five-hour drive from Paro, Uma by COMO, Punakha offers guests exceptional access to some of Bhutan"s most celebrated landscapes and historic sites, including the famous Temple of the Divine Madman and the imposing Punakha Dzong. This spirit of adventure is the hallmark of all COMO's Uma hotels, revealed on journeys accompanied by our professional English-speaking guides.

The Valley View rooms (some with outdoor terraces), are light and airy with king-size or twin beds, sheesham-wood furniture and bright wall paintings by local artisans. These rooms also have enough space for a comfortable lounge area, deep bathtubs and a separate showerstall.

Zhiwaking Hotel

The 45-room Zhiwa Ling hotel combines the sensibilities of a fine Bhutanese guesthouse with the best of 21st Century technology. Envisioned and created by a local Bhutanese company, the hotel"s elaborate hand-carved wooden cornices and masterful stonework coexist beautifully with cutting-edge telecommunication systems and Swedish under-floor heating.
