The ever-popular Edinburgh Hop-on, Hop-off tour allows you to see the sites of this wonderful city at your own pace and create your perfect Edinburgh sightseeing itinerary.

Conducted on an open-topped doubledecker bus the tour has a great range of stops covering all the best loved Edinburgh attractions including the Castle, Scott Monument and Queen Mary"s Bath House. You can hop on and off as often as you wish and see the sites that interest you. Frequent departures every 20-30 minutes mean that your precious Edinburgh sightseeing time is not wasted waiting for the next bus. While on board audio commentary via headset in 9 languages will ensure that you don"t miss a thing, what"s more a special commentary based on the award winning "Horrible Histories" will ensure that the children are entertained.

Stonehaven

After collecting Your car this morning from Edinburgh City office (address and all details TBA once confirmed), you will head to St Andrews (via Queensferry bridge), known worldwide as the "Home of Golf". Also the most famous links in St. Andrews is the most frequent venue for The Golf Open Championship. The town is also famous for its University, ranked as the third best university in the UK behind Oxford and Cambridge. This is also where Prince William and Kate Middleton met. If you have time, before crossing Queensferry bridge, you can drive 7.5 miles west and visit Blackness Castle. It"s a beautiful spot for photos and panoramic view of all 3 bridges connecting to Fife. After late lunch you will head north towards Stonehaven, crossing River Tay.

Inverness - Stonehaven

After breakfast, enjoy leisurely drive towards Dunnotar Castle, your first stop of the day. Dunnottar Castle, though being a ruined medieval fortress, still has glorious atmosphere and after a little up and down climb (as it"s located upon a rocky headland), offers beautiful views and stories of times, when it was the place, where Honours of Scotland, the Scottish crown jewels, were hidden from Oliver Cromwell's invading army in the 17th century.

Next stop is Aberdeen, the "Granite City". Aberdeen offers few options for lunch and unmissable grey-stone architecture. Your day ends at Inverness for overnight.

John O'Groats

Enjoy lovely breakfast in Inverness before you heading out to John O"Groats. On the way, visit Rogie Falls and Castle Sinclair at Girnigoe. This is a scenic coastal drive with lots of opportunities to stop for photographs. Points of interest along the way include: Loch Ness, Urquhart Castle, & Caithness Castle in Keiss.

Unapool

Another exciting day ahead with lots of driving, but beautiful nature! Your first stop is Durness, the most spectacular corner of Scotland and the most north westerly village on mainland Britain in the Highlands of Scotland. Durness is now one of the few remaining places of any size in mainland Scotland that you can only access by single track road! After lunch, winding roads will take you to Loch Assynt and Ardvreck Castle.

Plockton

After breakfast, head south from the Northern Highlands towards Plockton (your overnight place) near Isle of Skye. On the way, you will stop at Shieldaig, a village in Wester Ross. Shieldaig's location is truly superb, on the edge of Loch Shieldaig, an offshoot of Loch Torridon. The backdrop is mighty mountains of Torridon, and Beinn Alligin and Liathach in particular. Before arriving to Plockton, visit Strome Castle - a ruined castle on the shore of Loch Carron in Stromemore, 3.5 miles south-west of the village of Lochcarron, on the west coast of the Scottish Highlands.

Isle of Skye

Leave Plockton village and head towards Dornie to visit fascinating Eilean Donan Castle before continuing on to Kyle of Lochalsh. It is at Lochalsh where you will cross the bridge to Skye, you can stop at Broadway for a coffee and light snack before you continue your trip to The Storr. Go back to Portree for evening meal and overnight.

Oban

Make your way off the Isle of Skye back to the mainland. Located on the shores of Loch Linnie you will find Fort William, known as the 'outdoor capital of the UK' for being the gateway to Ben Nevis - the highest peak in the United Kingdom. In the afternoon, continue to one of Scotland's oldest sources of single malt scotch whisky and experience the Oban distillery. A true taste sensation, indulge in this guided tour experience.

Oban

Spend your morning exploring the town of Oban before making your way to the harbour and take a ferry from Oban to Craignure to explore fascinating Isle of Mull. Head towards Tobermory, a unique fishing village, the capital and the only burgh on the Isle. If you have time, you can also make your way to Isle of Iona and take a foot ferry to this little hidden gem of Scotland. In the evening, return to Oban for overnight.

Glasgow

In the morning, travel 25 miles north to Port Appin, Argyll. It is there on the tidal islet of Loch Laich you will find Castle Stalker - brought to fame by Monty Python & the Holy Grail. Enjoy a private tour of the Castle. Afterwards, follow Loch Lomond's curvy bank to reach Glasgow. Before getting to your accommodation, stop at Kelvin Bridge.

The rest of the day is at your leisure to do as much or as little as you wish should you need to recharge. You have a Hop On Hop Off ticket of the city included. Either stay on the bus for a guided orientation or jump off and explore. Recommended stops include Kelvingrove Art Gallery and the spectacular Glasgow Cathedral.

All bedrooms are en-suite and situated on the ground floor as there are no steps within the property. Additionally, full central heating throughout the property and each guest room is equipped with tea and coffee making facilities, television, hairdryer andcomplimentary toiletries.

The Kylesku Hotel is a family run, old coaching inn dating back to 1680, and is situated by the former ferry slipway on the shores of Loch Glendhu. Kylesku, set in the real Highland wilderness, is the perfect base for exploring Sutherland and North West Scotland.

All rooms are furnished to a high standard and are all equipped with hair dryers, TV & tea and coffee facilities. We have 7 Loch Facing Rooms, 2 Rear Facing Rooms and 2 small double Attic Rooms (they have the same comforts as all our other rooms, however, note the very sloppy ceiling which make the rooms feel very compact) . Except for the Attic Rooms, all our rooms have an en-suite shower room or bathroom.

Plockton Inn

Situated in the heart of the pretty village of Plockton and on the beautiful North West Coast of Scotland. The Plockton Inn serves up a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, a high standard of accommodation, great homemade food using freshly caught seafood and local produce, an excellent choice of Ale and whisky and live traditional music.

Fairy Pools

Enjoy a day on Isle of Skye and visit Fairy Pools. One of the nature's highlights. At the foot of the Black Cuillins near Glenbrittle are the Fairy Pools, beautifully crystal clear blue pools on the River Brittle.These famous pools entice visitors from all over the world, as they make some great "Wild Swimming" for those brave enough to enter the cold water. For the less adventurous these magical Fairy Pools make some fantastic photos. Again, waterproof clothes and comfortable shoes are highly recommended if you decide to do a bit of hiking!

The Manor House Hotel

The Manor House Hotel is a Georgian Villa overlooking Oban Bay. Built in about 1780 as a dower house for the Duke of Argyll, The Manor House is now a deluxe 4 star boutique hotel in Oban. Set on the southern side of Oban Harbour it has stunning views of the town, McCaig"s Tower and the islands of Lismore and Mull.   • Airfare to/from the Tour start point, including domestic or inter-country connecting flights, unless otherwise stated in itinerary.
  • tips and gratuities
  • items of a personal nature such as incidentals, excess baggage charges
  • airport taxes/entrance fees, port charges, foreign government departure taxes
  • Visas (unless otherwise indicated), Inspection, Customs, Immigration and Naturalization fees Additional fuel surcharges on cruises
  • Travel Insurance including Medical, Lost Baggage and Trip cancellation
  • Optional activities (golf, watersports, etc.)
  • any other activities or items not explicitly advertised as included in the price of a Tour

 

Reservations/Booking and Deposits:  To book a Tour, each Traveler (or leader of a Group of Travelers) must submit:

 

A.     A completed booking form signed electronically by the main Traveler. By submitting the booking form on the payments page, the traveler accepts our full Terms and Conditions.  

B.     A deposit of 30% of the Tour price (minimum $250 per person), is due immediately upon booking.

C.     The full balance of the trip cost is due ninety days (90) before the trip departure date.

D.      If you book your trip with us ninety days (90 days) or less before the departure date, the full cost of the trip is due at that time.

E.      In the instance payment is made by certified check or wire transfer, reservations will only commence once the check is cleared.

F.      Availability of Services and Accommodations cannot be guaranteed until a Tour is booked.  We will exercise our best efforts to book the Services and Accommodations described in the Tour Itinerary, however, in busy seasons and with client bookings made within 90 days of Tour date, we may be forced to offer substitutes.  In this instance we will notify you as soon as possible and try to substitute comparable Services and Accommodations based on availability.

G.     Ticketing & credit card processing for international transport and other select domestic airfare pertaining to a specific country is done by a 3rd party and not included in your total land package price unless otherwise stated.

H.     Cancellations of confirmed bookings 90 days or more prior to departure will receive full refund minus a $250 (per person) administrative fee and any non-refundable paid fees (e.g. non-refundable airfare, cruise or hotel deposits). 60-89 days will be subject to loss of 30% of program price. 30-59 days will be subject to loss of 50% of program price. 29 days or less will be subject to loss of 100% of program price.
