Day 1
Galapagos - Santa Cruz Island

Having been met by an English-speaking-naturalist guide at Baltra Airport, you will cross the narrow Itabaca Channel to Santa Cruz Island, heading up to a farm in the Highlands for a delicious lunch. You will then have the opportunity to explore the area's vegetation and microclimates, as well as Pit Craters and Lava Tunnels, and to become acquainted with its endemic Scalesia and Guayabillo forests. At the Tortoise Reserve you will experience the emblematic Giant Tortoises in their natural habitat, in addition to the abundant bird life of the highlands. Your afternoon will conclude at Galapagos Safari Camp, with a sunset cocktail followed by dinner.

Day 2
Santa Cruz Island - Galapagos

FLOREANA ISLAND: One of the older volcanic islands, Floreana has an excellent selection of varied dive sites. Most of the interesting activity takes place in the shallows where the current strikes the reefs. You are likely to see Galapagos sharks, white tips reef sharks, turtles, sting rays, eagle rays, barracudas, sea lions and reef fish.

GORDON ROCKS: An eroded crater at the top of tuff cone, Gordon Rocks is one of the best dive sites in the central islands. Her you will see hammerhead sharks, Galapagos sharks, white tip reef sharks, rays, green turtles, sea lions, Galapagos eels, barracudas and reef fish.

NORTH SEYMOUR ISLAND: Created by seismic uplift, rather than being of volcanic origin, North Seymour is teeming with life. It is home to many species of shark, including Galapagos, white tip and black tip, as well as eagle rays, green turtles, Galapagos eels, barracudas and reef fish.

COUSINS ROCK: This is a triangular-shaped islet, with a breath-taking vertical wall featuring black coral, invertebrates and molluscs. It is a combination of shoal and wall diving, in the company of Pacific seahorses, frogfish, Galapagos sharks, white tip reef sharks, turtles, stingrays, spotted eagle rays, barracudas, sea lions and reef fish.

BARTOLOME ISLAND: Despite being one of the younger islands, Bartolome's underwater world is very impressive, and the penguins are the highlight. There is a 10m deep platform with an enormous variety of reef fish; and on the edge of the platform there is a 15 m deep submarine canyon, home to white tip, reef sharks, mobula rays, stingrays, barracudas, turtles and a variety of invertebrates and mollusks.

MOSQUERA ISLET: This rocky islet is a popular gathering place for sea lions, and a large sandy platform boasts an enormous colony of garden eels. The 21m drop-off is an ideal place to watch schools of eagle rays, hammerhead sharks, manta ray and black tip reef sharks to glide by.

DAPHNE ISLET: This is a drift dive along an impressive drop-off at the top of a sloping wall. Close to the islet there are wonderful areas of coral, with sea urchins, starfish and a plethora of cardinal fishes. The area is frequently visited by manta rays, green turtles, sea lions, grunts and snappers, as well as sharks and eagle rays on occasion.

Day 5
Baltra

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Baltra airport for your flight back to mainland Ecuador

With its abundance of plants, animals, microorganisms and ecosystem, its four natural regions (Amazon, Andes, Galapagos, Pacific Coast, and its relatively small surface (approximately 280,000 km2/173938.88 square miles), Ecuador positions itself as the most diverse country per square meter in the world. A touristic paradise where in just a few days you can discover the glory of the Andes, bathe on lush Pacific Ocean beaches, explore the richness of the Amazon and marvel at the wonders of the Galapagos Islands.

Galapagos Safari Camp

The Galapagos archipelago is one of the last places on the planet to be relatively untouched by man. With only 3 per cent of their landmass inhabited, the islands support a number of remarkable ecosystems, as well as being home to one of the planet"s most important marine reserves. The Enchanted Islands, as they are known, lie at the crossroads of science, nature, exploration and literature.Galapagos Safari Camp is a new way to experience the Galapagos, either in addition to a cruise or as a unique destination in itself. The eco-luxury tented camp - one of the first in Latin America - follows the African safari tradition in which guests enjoy total comfort under canvas while experiencing nature in its purest form.

Erected on wooden platforms, the Luxury Tents are composed of three layers: one to protect against the sun, another against the rain and an inner canvas shell. Inside they are spacious (27m2), and their custom-made furniture was designed with comfort, practicality and elegance in mind. Twin beds can be joined to become one queen bed; and there are cupboards, a writing desk and a fan/heater for temperature control. A sofa bed can be added for children under 12. The en suite bathrooms are tastefully designed with hot power showers and flush toilets. All the tents have a large balcony with a hammock and chairs from which to take in the wonderful view.
