After a scrumptious breakfast we will depart for a city tour of Colombo. our first stop will be at the Galle Face Green a wide plain that overlooks the ocean. next we will visit the Old Parliament decorated with statues of past political figures. Inspect Independence Square and Arcade the former a monument built to commenerate Independence from the British. we will end this tour at the Pettah Marketit is the bazaar in Colombo with hawkers dating back many generations and many more.

Transfer in private vehicle from your hotel to Colombo Airport for your onward Flight.

Today you will board Cinnamon Air, flying from Colombo and destination is Sigiriya! The spectacular ancient city of Sigiriya is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and Asia"s most protected and well-preserved city of the first millennium.

Transfer in private vehicle with English speaking driver from the Airport to your hotel for overnight.

After Parking your bike's you will climb the Sigiriya Rock Fortress, also known as the 8th Wonder of the World. This rock fortress was built by King Kasyapa in the 5th century A.D. and was a royal citadel for more than 18 years. In a sheltered pocket, accessed by a spiral stairway, are the famous frescoes. The summit of the rock, with an area of nearly one hectare, was the site of the palace, and the outer wall was built on the very brink of the precipice. The UNESCO sponsored Central Cultural Fund has restored Sigiriya 5th century water gardens to their former glory.

After breakfast, you will be taken to the magnificent ancient city of Polonnaruwa, a UNESCO World Heritage Site!

It was under King Parakramabu I, who ruled in the late 11th century, that Polonnaruwa became a magnificent walled city. He built the vast reservoir, the Sea of Parakram, which is still in use today, and ordered the construction of monasteries, temples, palaces, bathing pools and Buddhist statues, all set in a forested park surrounded by moats. During his period of rule, it is said that Sri Lanka was known as the Granary of the East.

An optional afternoon activity is to take a nature trek through a typical Sri Lankan village to get a glimpse of Sri Lankan rural life.

Today you will have an exciting journey to Kandy with a stimulating stop to the Spice Garden on route! For centuries, spices have been one of Sri Lanka's celebrated exports. Spices are mostly grown in home gardens and used not only to flavor food but also in medicine and cosmetics. Visit a Spice Garden and sample delicious scents and flavors like cinnamon, ginger, pepper, vanilla, cardamom etc.

Today, you will visit the one of the most important monuments in Sri Lanka, the Temple of the Tooth.

The Temple of the Tooth Relic is located in the royal palace complex, which houses the relic of the tooth of Buddha. Since ancient times, the relic has played an important role in local politics because it is believed that whoever holds the relic holds the governance of the country. Kandy was the last capital of the Sinhalese kings and is a UNESCO world heritage site, partly due to the temple.

Transfer in private vehicle from Kandy to Hatton for overnight. Duration is 1.5 hours.

Today, you will have a day excursion to Horton Plains. Horton Plains, its surroundings forests and the adjoining peak wilderness, are of outstanding scenic beauty and conservation importance, unbelievably rich in flora and fauna. The western slopes support the most extensive area of mountain cloud forest surviving in the country.

You will trek to the sharp precipice called "World's End" which gives you an overwhelmingly beautiful panoramic view of the area below. Be there before 10 am when the mist starts rolling in! After visiting the majestic Baker"s Falls, you will hike back to your hotel.

Amanwella Hotel

Amanwella is situated in a mature coconut grove fronting a crescent-shaped beach close to the fishing town of Tangalle in southern Sri Lanka. Their luxury private beach resort in Sri Lanka derives its name by combining the words aman, or "peace" in Sanskrit, and wella, the Sinhalese name for "beach". All the suites of this contemporary beachfront resort feature their own plunge pool and terrace. Linked by pathways, suites are interspersed along the hillside to the west of the public areas, providing views of the ocean and beach flanked by two rocky headlands.

Situated mostly on the hillside, the Suites enjoy varying views of the coconut grove and ocean.   • Visas (unless otherwise indicated), Inspection, Customs, Immigration and Naturalization fees Additional fuel surcharges on cruises
  • Travel Insurance including Medical, Lost Baggage and Trip cancellation
  • Optional activities (golf, watersports, etc.)
  • any other activities or items not explicitly advertised as included in the price of a Tour

 

Reservations/Booking and Deposits:  To book a Tour, each Traveler (or leader of a Group of Travelers) must submit:

 

A.     A completed booking form signed electronically by the main Traveler. By submitting the booking form on the payments page, the traveler accepts our full Terms and Conditions.  

B.     A deposit of 30% of the Tour price (minimum $250 per person), is due immediately upon booking.

C.     The full balance of the trip cost is due ninety days (90) before the trip departure date.

D.      If you book your trip with us ninety days (90 days) or less before the departure date, the full cost of the trip is due at that time.

E.      In the instance payment is made by certified check or wire transfer, reservations will only commence once the check is cleared.

F.      Availability of Services and Accommodations cannot be guaranteed until a Tour is booked.  We will exercise our best efforts to book the Services and Accommodations described in the Tour Itinerary, however, in busy seasons and with client bookings made within 90 days of Tour date, we may be forced to offer substitutes.  In this instance we will notify you as soon as possible and try to substitute comparable Services and Accommodations based on availability.

G.     Ticketing & credit card processing for international transport and other select domestic airfare pertaining to a specific country is done by a 3rd party and not included in your total land package price unless otherwise stated.

H.     Cancellations of confirmed bookings 90 days or more prior to departure will receive full refund minus a $250 (per person) administrative fee and any non-refundable paid fees (e.g. non-refundable airfare, cruise or hotel deposits). 60-89 days will be subject to loss of 30% of program price. 30-59 days will be subject to loss of 50% of program price. 29 days or less will be subject to loss of 100% of program price.

       *NOTE: Certain destinations require a 30% non-refundable deposit at the time of booking and therefore, would supersede our standard cancellation policy prior to 90 days in this instance.
