Welcome to Mendoza, Argentina. Transfer in private vehicle with English speaking guide from the Airport to your hotel for overnight.

Mendoza is a semi-arid desert, though the tree-lined streets and lush grape vines seem to suggest otherwise. Thanks to native resourceful technology, an ingenious irrigation system was built, channeling Andean melted snow into the city and surrounding farmland. Furrows cut paths through the countryside and large cement ditches, known as Asequias (A-say-key-As), line every city street. In this excursion experience the city, its people, its history, and sites. Experience its avenues, the ruins of San Francisco, Independencia Square/ San Martin Park and Cerro de la Gloria are part of the urban heart of the Province of Mendoza.

Casa Coupage is the first private wine club and in door restaurant established in Buenos Aires. It offers an haute-cuisine venue for Argentine as well as international patrons. The concept itself is irresistibly delicious: dinner is held in the private dining room of a charming mid-century Palermo home; seasonal first and main courses, prepared by a private chef, are each accompanied with a specially selected wine, allowing for both a comparative wine tasting and an optimal food pairing. The sommelier guides the experience and provides background information regarding the specific terroir, variety of grape, and winemaker.

Day 7
Buenos Aires

In 1998, the municipality of Buenos Aires passed a law to protect and promote the city's Remarkable Cafes. During this outing, you'll have the chance to visit four of them, all located in traditional areas of the city, to experience that typical Porteno habit of getting together at a coffee shop to talk for endless hours and honor friendship. Beginning with La Puerto Rico, founded in 1887, in the neighborhood of Montserrat, where writers and intellectuals such as Paul Groussac, Arturo Capdevila and Rafael Obligado would gather. The establishment owes its name to its owner Gumersindo Cabedo's fascination for Puerto Rico, where he lived for some time. Next we visit London City, a coffee shop that became famous after being mentioned by Julio Cortazar in his novel Los Premios [The Prizes]. The cafe is located on the ground floor of a building built by E.A. Merry that used to be part of the annex of the traditional Gath y Chaves department store, in Buenos Aires' financial district. Then we travel to San Telmo, where we visit the Bar Dorrego. From its tables, overlooking the traditional Plaza Dorrego, we'll soak in the Colonial atmosphere of this charming, historical neighborhood. Finally, visit the neighborhood of Almagro, where we find the sumptuous Confiteria Las Violetas with its" 80 square meters of splendid stained glass, the cafe opened in 1884 with the presence of President Julio Argentino Roca. Writers such as Roberto Arlt and Alfonsina Storni were regulars.

From the moment you enter Faena Hotel & Universe, you realize that Rojo Tango is not your average Dinner Show. You will be greeted with a glass of champagne before an excellent three-course meal is served; setting the scene for a sexy, intimate and authentic show. An iconic nightlife destination, Faena Hotel Buenos Aires draws fashionable crowds to Puerto Madero with its famed Rojo Tango show at El Cabaret the setting for a sexy, intimate and authentic show. Tango remains Argentina's premier musical art form and Rojo Tango"s dancers, singers and musicians have been acclaimed as some of Argentina"s best.

Sip on a glass of mate (an Argentine drink of yerba mate leaves steeped in hot water) and finish with traditional pastries! During lunch, be entertained by a tango and folk show of classical music and dance. When your day of fun on the ranch is over, you"ll be driven back to Buenos Aires.
