Day 3
Tarbert

This morning, meet your driver and English speaking guide for full day private tour at Islay. Transfer to Kennancraig, where you board the ferry to Port Ellen at 09:45. You will arrive at 12:05, then enjoy your visit to Bruichladdich, Lagavulin and Laphroaig Distilleries. Bruichladdich distillery was built in 1881 by the Harvey brother. The Harveys were a dynastic whisky family with over a century of distillery ownership, including Glasgow`s Yoker and Dundas Hill distilleries. The tree brothers decided to combine their expertise to build a third Harvey distillery. Distilling tobe an ancient art, one that has intrigued the human spirit for centuries. A black art, a mysterious and enigmatic alchemy, that explores the very depths of the distiller`s soul.

Lagavulin Distillery - Situated at the picturesque Lagavulin Bay, this is an experience not to be missed. Take a tour of the distillery, see the distillers at work and view the unusual pear shaped stills. Peated malt, slow distillation and long maturation together ensure Lagavulin develops a complex, rich, peaty character. Nestled on the South of Islay, Scotland's whisky island, Lagavulin can be found sitting quietly in its small and beautiful bay. As one of Scotland's most famous whiskies Lagavulin embodies the flavours of the island on which it sits with its rich fruit & smooth smoky flavours complimented by a good dose of Islay peat & crisp sea salt.

Laphroaig Distillery: The award winning family of Laphroaig Whiskies ranges from the rich, pungent 10 Year Old to the smooth and exceptionally rare 40 Year Old. But whatever Laphroaig you choose, you can sense 200 years of loving care distilled into every bottle.
