Walking through the market feels like stepping into a movie scene, with fortune tellers, opera singers, and stalls piled high with everything from trinkets to electronics. The street food is a highlight, and I always stop at a stall for curry fish balls, which reminds me of late-night snacks during my university days.

Star Ferry and Victoria Harbour

My favorite is chocolate—as a chocolate lover, its rich and indulgent flavor is simply perfect!
Street food adventures don’t stop at egg waffles. Stinky tofu is a love-it-or-hate-it snack, but I urge everyone to try it once. And no visit to a local bakery is complete without a pineapple bun (which, ironically, doesn’t contain pineapple but has a sugary, golden crust resembling one).

Roast goose is a must-try in Hong Kong, and Yung Kee in Central is legendary for its perfectly crispy skin and tender, flavorful meat. I’ll never forget my first bite—it felt like discovering a whole new side of Hong Kong’s culinary magic. The skin, golden and crackling, gives way to juicy, well-marinated meat that’s bursting with flavor. Paired with the tangy plum sauce, it’s a perfect balance of smoky, sweet, and savory that lingers long after the meal.
While Yung Kee is a household name, smaller joints like Kam’s Roast Goose offer equally memorable meals at a fraction of the price. Pair the goose with steamed rice or noodles to soak up every last bit of flavor.

What sets it apart for me is the stunning view of Victoria Harbour—you can take a shopping break on the promenade and soak in the sights.
